The eCommerce Social Media Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing (among self and team) a deep understanding of social media best practices and best in class benchmarking. They will execute social campaigns to help meet key objectives including increasing reach, increasing engagement, building brand advocates, increasing customer satisfaction, decreasing churn, improving brand sentiment and driving sales. This individual will work with various departments to ensure successful launches and ongoing management of marketing promotions within the social media space.  The team requires a specialist with strong project management skills, communication proficiency and attention to detail to manage social media campaigns, day to day platform maintenance including Facebook and Twitter posts and responses, and platform tracking.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages social media campaigns, day to day platform maintenance including Facebook and Twitter posts and responses, and platform tracking.
  • Measures social campaign results against desired outcomes and continuously tracks progress against annual goals and budget to ensure we’re on track to exceed outlined objectives.
  • Maintains a social media dashboard, which will be circulated throughout the business weekly, to provide the company with a snapshot of our progress and health in the social space.
  • Acts as liaison between the business and the Social Media Team to evaluate business wide needs and determine how we can support those needs within the social space.
  • Delivers and executes campaigns under tight timeframes and within budget.
  • Identifies market needs within the social media space and responds immediately with strategies to satisfy consumer needs and maintain positive sentiment.
  • Consistently monitors competitor activity and best in class practices in the social media space to benchmark our progress and outline actionable next steps to ensure we are best in class. 
  • Develops and analyzes campaign impact metrics – including response rate, ROI, sentiment improvements, churn reduction, sales and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Manages both internal clients and external vendors to accomplish project goals within deadlines.
  • Presents social media campaigns and initiatives to other internal business members to get buy in.

BA/BS from four year college or university – business, communications or technical degree preferred, 0-4 years experience in marketing & communications, strategic planning, or similar field preferred.
