Primary Job Description: In this role, you will lead the marketing of PayPal into the non-retail market supporting Financial Institutions. Our goal is to develop world class programs that drive PayPal's adoption in this market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing marketing programs and campaigns from planning and executing to analyzing and reporting results.
Develop and execute the go-to-market plan working closely with management and business leads and coordinating with the various marketing & PR teams across the company.
Identify, manage and drive thought leadership for PayPal in this market. Promote our point of view in white papers, guest articles in trade press, etc and at conferences, webinars, industry speaking opportunities, etc.
Manage creation, updating and enhancing of industry-specific marketing assets to reduce sales cycle and accelerate customer engagement and ommend and implement a customer contact and communications strategy leveraging online channels including social media.
Build industry-specific partner programs. Create partner recruitment tools & develop joint marketing plans for select tier one partners.
Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a solid track record of marketing within the Financial Services market and is considered a credible voice and visionary in the industry. You are a strategic thinker, yet detail-oriented and able to execute marketing programs to planYou are most comfortable making data driven decisions while working in a fast-paced environment.
10+ years of marketing experience within the financial services market with a deep understanding of the industry landscape and ecosystem. Marketing experience should include, but not be limited to customer lifecycle management, online marketing, events & sponsorships and joint marketing programs targeted at financial institutions (banks, credit unions etc and their customers). Candidate could have gained this experience at either an internet/technology company servicing financial institutions or within a a financial institution itself or both.
Excellent project management skills-the ability to prioritize and manage multiple programs simultaneously. Resourceful with a limited budget and flexible to adjust to changing priorities.
Strong analytical skills-the ability to track key performance indicators and analyze and report results.
Solid interpersonal & communication skills-the ability to work cross functionally and influence without direct authority. Experienced communicating project status, issues and risks to project stakeholders. Experienced working with business alliances & outside agencies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience leveraging social media to achieve business goals & objectives a plus.
