Trafalgar Tours of Canada is searching for a dynamic and outgoing Marketing Manager. If you are a imaginative and creative thinker, an individual who wants to understand what works and what doesn't and is prepared to challenge the status quo, this role is for you! You will oversee and coordinate activities of the marketing department to ensure the consistent implementation of all marketing materials and programs including public relations, advertising, collateral, promotions, emarketing and website. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in execution of global, national and local promotional/marketing strategies to achieve sales targets Conceive and develop and improve brand image for advertisements in trade and related publications Prepare and distribute press releases and editorial content for trade and related publications Manage production and distribution of collateral materials, including brochures, postcards, flyers, newsletters, etc. Work with travel partners to develop marketing strategies to improve brand awareness and maximize sales Maintain relationships with key marketing managers at top consortiums and tourist boards Liaise with Sales Managers with respect to local and national campaign content and execution Liaise with global web team to ensure maintenance and update of website. Develop and maintain marketing budget and approval of expenses Monitor request website to ensure all requests are processed Implementing and execution of global marketing initiatives Prepare and develop eblast promotions for trades, consumers, agents etc. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Liaise with sales staff and customers regarding market trends and conditions Action and respond to all internal staff, or external agent or consumer queries Investigate future marketing opportunities Monitor use of logos and tour content in various marketing endeavors Mine existing data base to ensure best target audience receives direct marketing pieces Coordinate, host and attend seasonal marketing launches/events Stay current with new marketing technology and trends Approval of e-communications Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises a marketing coordinator and a graphic artist. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge Requirements: Completion of a Marketing Degree or Diploma or Public Relations Completion of a recognized Travel and Tourism program preferred 4+ years previous marketing experience in the travel industry preferred Must have a Marketing portfolio to show 2+ years previous supervisory experience Extensive knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other creative programs Creative and resourceful in generating new ideas and solving problems Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with various departments, staff and clients Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Superior written and oral communication skills Experience editing and proofreading Please submit resumes and cover letters to .
