PURPOSE OF JOB

The Marketing Manager is responsible for bringing creativity and enthusiasm to the challenges of global marketing and continuous development of the Black Rapid brands. The Marketing Manager will develop a global marketing plan and strategy incorporating multiple media approaches with a focus on digital media and content delivery styles.  The Marketing Manager will define the cross cultural marketing mechanisms and communicate with our global distribution partners while focusing on the domestic in-house distribution requirements. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for brand equity while integrating the support and needs of the Video Production unit, Sales Group, and Creative Design group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans.
  2. Develop unique value propositions, business partnerships, category management, as well as call to action oriented advertising targeted toward key customer segments that increase brand awareness
  3. Lead and manage direct marketing, public relations, advertising, online marketing, event marketing, and internal creative services.
  4. Analyze, evaluate, plan, and execute on both existing and potential marketing activities and strategies.  Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs.
  5. Enhance e-business strategy and manage innovation planning and brand strategy
  6. Manage customer insight programs
  7. Develop metrics definition and analytics in respect to suggested campaigns and programs associated with digital media planning
  8. Oversee affiliate marketing programs
  9. Continue development and oversight of social marketing strategy
  10. Manage campaign and web analytics
  11. Influence of package implementation
  12. Oversee corporate communications activities
  13. Develop and administer marketing database
  14. Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of product.
  15. Evaluate the success or failure of digital advertising/marketing initiatives, and plans for course correction and/or continual success as appropriate.  Analyze program results, translate the data, and use it to create internal and external tools and references.
  16. Identify, interpret and capitalize on marketing trends
  17. Manage marketing budget

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • A solid understanding of advertising, marketing, and strategic brand management, and how to best leverage these in a digital environment.
  • Knowledge of the digital marketing and advertising landscape, the unique technical aspects of the medium, and their impact on the development and execution of media strategies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead team in a highly collaborative environment to develop and execute media plans. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams. 
  • Superior oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated budget management and resource planning experience.
  • The ability to successfully manage multiple internal and external initiatives/projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • May require limited travel

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four (4) year, accredited college or university in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • A minimum of seven (7+) years of prior experience in the development and implementation of media planning and buying strategies within the advertising industry. 
  • A minimum of three (3) years of prior media experience specifically within the digital/interactive marketing and advertising industry. 
  • Knowledge of online advertising, online strategy, basic digital technology capabilities and partner knowledge
  • Proven experience leading strategy and digital roadmap projects in a complex business and marketing environment

OTHER DESIREABLE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • A Masters or advanced professional degree in Advertising, Marketing, or similar is preferred.
