A defense/transportation systems company in Southern California is actively seeking a Director of Product Management for full time employment. Relocation assistance and excellent benefits are available.
Responsibilities:
-> Plan and execute throughout the product lifecycle including gathering and prioritizing product, market, and customer requirements, defining product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and other support groups to insure that revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction expectations are met
-> Define the overall product strategy and develop roadmaps for each product type - insure that the products support the overall business environment and strategy
-> Define the overall product strategy and develop roadmaps for each product type
-> Develop investment plans for each product to continuously upgrade products to meet market-driven demands
-> Supervise the product management group, which at present includes the business unit customer service team
-> Make all advertising and marketing material current and available - manage material generation inputs from engineering
Requirements:
-> Minimum 10 years total experience in a technical environment with 6 years of experience working as a product manager in a communications-related electronics environment
-> BS in engineering or related field
-> Demonstrated success in launching new products into the market
-> TS/SCI clearance desired, current Secret level or higher clearance required, with ability to get TS/SCI
-> Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
-> Ability to supervise employees including field service personnel
-> Able to travel at least 25% of the time
