Marketing General Manager - User Interface / User Experience

The GM for UI/UX will be responsible for improving current UI/UX and researching, designing, and prototyping new user experiences across STB, PC and Mobile. This is a unique opportunity to build the UI/UX skills and capabilities at DISH from ground up.
This position requires high-level strategic thinking, organizational skills and creativity in solving highly complex problems. You will work in cross-functional teams that include research, sales and customer support, as well as with program and product managers, marketing, brand, software engineers and QA. You also need to be able to help develop, advocate for and employ visual and user experience standards and practices through all phases of product design. Deliverables include design mockups, production of visual assets and documentation required for proper implementation. Candidate must flourish in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
This position reports to the VP Product Management.
· Ensure design consistency (UI/UX) across all DISH products
· Ability to successfully drive and apply user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
· Willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' and work on time-sensitive, critical projects; no job is too small for you
· Effectively communicate design rationale to internal leaders and stakeholders
· Makes design decisions driven by research, business requirements, technical specifications and moreover, strong design sensibilities
· Accountable for visual design deliverables, ensuring the work is of highest quality and delivered in a timely manner
· Review and maintain design documents such as style guides design pattern library
BFA or BA/BS degree in design related studies is required with a portfolio demonstrating user experience and visual design work.
3+ years experience designing for complex embedded user interfaces
2+ years graphic/web design experience at top-tier agencies or in-house design teams
Accessibility knowledge of current standards and practice
