General Summary:
Under minimal supervision, this position collects and analyzes data for client sales and marketing programs. This position defines and generates marketing reports and sales reports, including but not limited to customer performance reports and campaign analysis. This position participates in the design and maintenance of marketing databases, data integrity and reporting systems. This position works directly with the client to provide analysis, creative feedback and recommendations relating to sales, operations or marketing activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Analysis: This position has the authority to identify patterns and meaningful relationships between various data sources, develop predictive models and present findings that can be effectively communicated to the client and to all levels of management within DAC.
Benchmark current performance - review and analyze existing models and business KPIs.
Analyze business goals and business results to optimized target metrics in- ABA rates, Sales Conversion Rates, AOV goals, Service cost reductions
Lead project coordination - develop, communicate and track implementation plan and deliverables
Launch and Measure - implement analytical tests, perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, measure results against benchmarked KPI's
Test and Refine - conduct A/B testing, evaluate business rules to results, reset benchmarks as necessary
Work with marketing, sales, and operations to identify areas for growth and expansion of online customer support programs; email, knowledgebase and CRM
Recommendations and Client Contact: This position collects client requirements and provides marketing and database analysis recommendations
Develop Programs: This position has the authority to develop programs to integrate analysis into a desktop and/or web-based reporting tool
Design: This position has the authority to design, code, test, debug and document programs for the purpose of sales and marketing reports, marketing database information capture and transformation.
Reporting: This position has the authority to design and generate sales and marketing reports to track and analyze marketing services effectiveness and measure customer performance impacts.
Communication: Client-facing: Gather and document client's marketing information requirements. Internal: Assist in working with team members and IT staff to ensure database functions are working correctly and acquire information needed for thorough analysis.
Lead Management: Assist in working with Sales and Strategic Marketing Management to develop the criteria and tools to net the best prospects and buyers for outbound efforts.
List Management: This position has the authority to develop strategy for direct marketing
activities, act as a list broker and manage suppression lists.
Project Management: This position has the authority to manage client projects from discovery and scoping to delivery of a finished product.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Segmentation: Participate in and provide recommendations for marketing segmentation projects and results
Qualifications/Experience Required:
BS/BA required
SQL database query language required
Required: Minimum of two years experience building and applying regression models, clustering, CART analysis or multivariate analysis
Experience developing analytical and statistical analysis of results to identify trends, behaviors, and data analytics
Ability to analyze impacts of tactical and strategic changes within a client driven business
Self-reliant and self-directed
Direct Marketing, Electronic Direct Marketing, List Processing or Circulation Marketing experience a plus
Detail-Oriented
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Desired: Five years experience working in an inbound/outbound call center operational or client relationship role, with specific experience supporting online customer support programs
Knowledge of inbound/outbound call center/phone technologies including: Inbound/Outbound Voice, Online Customer Support programs; knowledgebase and email, CRM
Business writing, communication and presentation skills a plus
Strong MS Excel skills preferred
Desired: Knowledge and experience with marketing services (direct mail and electronic marketing programs) with additional emphasis on providing marketing intelligence and supporting campaign activities
Must provide example of analysis and presentation materials during interview process
