My client seeks a 5 to 10 year experienced strategic Media Relations Professional and Marketing Communications Thought Leader to maximize and leverage its multi-faceted business successes on five continents. Amongst the responsibilities for this position are: - Media Relations Strategy & Plan Enhance and execute a developed PR strategy (targeted primarily at U.S. and international business and financial news outlets) and implement multi-pronged PR plans to increase overall brand awareness as well as all functions in the company, such as branding and promotion of new businesses and M&A transactions. Develop and implement global communications and media relations programs, maximizing media exposure for the Company through targeted, measurable efforts. Build on well-established past media contacts and develop relationships with new contacts on behalf of Company with print, broadcast and online media channels. - Branding Serve as brand manager and evangelist, ensuring consistent and appropriate use of the corporate identity. Provide thought leadership in messaging development and brand positioning. - Marketing Communications Develop and execute marketing communication strategy and tactical pieces to support emerging businesses. - Agency Management and Oversight Provide multiple external communications firms with strategic direction as well as execution guidance. - Team Management & Development Build the PR function and coach and mentor existing direct reports. - Spokesperson Responsibilities Serve as a company spokesperson as well as help develop additional internal or external spokespeople and conduct internal executive media training. - Budget Management Plan and manage a Media Relations and Marketing Communications budget. - Internal Communications - Lead messaging and play a critical role in internal communications, particular emphasis on internal culture, strategy understanding and brand evangelism. Stellar writing and interpersonal skills, boardroom presence, and readily apparent strategic thinking are required for this high visibility position in a Fortune company.
