Managing Director



The Managing Director is responsible for business development, managing the office, and establishing and achieving sales and profit goals for our existing Charlotte, NC practice.  This dynamic and entrepreneurial individual will support the company's Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Information Management, Legal Services, and Supply Chain Management disciplines.

 

Responsibilities:

 


  • Lead office by managing daily operations and developing and executing growth strategy.

  • Continually develop new client business by pursuing business opportunities with strategic targets and cultivating relationships with existing clients.

  • Mentor management team by directing their work efforts, monitoring recruitment efforts, resolving client and/or Consultant issues, and addressing internal office issues.

  • Facilitate the continued growth of practice through timely hiring and managing of employees involved in client service, recruiting, business development and administration.

  • Create revenue by generating, closing, and managing engagements and growing the office.

  • Represent Resources in appropriate professional and community organizations.


Professional Qualifications and Personal Characteristics:


  • 10+ years experience. Professional services experience preferred, Big 4 preferred (if neither, candidate should demonstrate strong client service skills).

  • Experience selling professional services, networking and generating leads.

  • Previous business development experience with Fortune 500 (global) type organizations.

  • Proven success in creating revenue and managing a P&L.

  • Previous experience in financial services a plus.

  • Demonstrate TIEL (Talent, Integrity, Enthusiasm, Loyalty).

  • Excellent presence. Strong ability to interact with C-Level senior management.

  • Strong local network and presence (someone preferably from Charlotte market or minimum North Carolina).

  • Enthusiasm and experience building a business---Entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Sense of urgency surrounding creating and achieving goals.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent client service experience and acumen.

  • Excellent ability to build new business relationships as well generates new revenue within existing clients.

  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation abilities.

  • Sense of urgency in getting results.

  • Solid decision making ability.

  • Strong teaming skills.

  • Self-starter.

  • Mentor/leader that can motivate and challenge local office team.


Reporting:

The Managing Director reports to the Regional Managing Director.
