Our client is seeking a Manager of Planning and Decision Support. Main Duties: * Exemplifies Customer Service Behavioral Expectations in all interactions. Treats customers with respect, compassion, and hospitality; anticipates, identifies, and responds to individual needs; makes a positive first impression by acknowledging customers; and demonstrates flexibility while maintaining priorities* Strategizes and develops financial feasibility studies for proposed new services or existing services requiring evaluation* Refines productivity standards and oversees timely reporting of productivity metrics* Provides financial reporting by Service Line and other areas of focus; serves as a financial resource to departmental management to improve operating results* Oversees Informatics group - maintains and continues with the development of the DSM Decision Support System with emphasis on the Cost Accounting System* Supervises the cost accounting function and ensures that the system is current and accurate. Responsible for assuring that the departmental cost accounting information is reviewed and updated with department heads* Leads and assists with timely development, monitoring, and evaluation of the Health Corp and Affiliates capital and operating expense budgets* Provides training, workshops and other support to LeadershipMinimum Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (MBA or MHA highly preferred) and a minimum of five years' relevant work experience in healthcare* Advanced working knowledge of personal computers (Microsoft Professional Office) and mainframe systems and proficiency with database, presentation and financial spreadsheet applicationsPreferred Qualifications:* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or master's degree in business (MBA)* Demonstrated analytical ability to formulate short and long-term plans * Strong understanding of Productivity Standards* Previous service line reporting experience* Five years of progressively more responsible healthcare financial experience- healthcare experience is a must
