Overview:
The Manager, Learning and Development for Technology will be responsible for fostering an environment of collaboration and knowledge share with subject matter experts among other responsibilities. This will include work with a variety of departments to build innovative learning solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
Plan, develop, evaluate effectiveness, and maintain knowledge share tools to support a fast paced and continuously evolving technology environment.
Produce customized course material including; design documents, student materials, presentation slides, instructor guides, job aids and assessments.
Participate in team development projects, utilizing project management skills to drive timely completion of training products.
Create a needs assessment with subject matter experts to identify importance of training initiatives and prioritize projects accordingly.
Contribute to the development and implementation of subject matter expert training.
Participate in the development and maintenance of internal SharePoint site.
Manage available systems to track training participation, ensure employee advancement in completion of employee training programs.
Assist in development and maintenance of tracking of external training programs.
Contribute to training and development activities in support of company changes, new system rollouts and other corporate and specific initiatives.
Partner with both our San Francisco and New York offices on Learning and Development projects. Infrequent travel may be required.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills Summary:
BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience with curriculum development/instructional design in a software or technology company, including creating content for technical and end user audiences.
Track record of innovation in designing and developing web based learning solutions and course development projects.
Experience with social learning concepts and ability to develop collaborative learning environments using current trends and technology.
Experience in adult learning principals, development of training materials and designing learning activities.
Proficiency in project management, consulting, problem solving, and business acumen.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with highly technical subject matter experts to translate expertise into usable content for knowledge share.
Experience developing customized computer based training using specialized software applications such as Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate Studio,and Adobe's Premier Suite.
Strong proficiencies in Microsoft office: Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Knowledge of current web technologies.
Ability to establish priorities and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
