Description
Basic Purpose - The Group Manager Media Buying & Operations is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies for over $200MM+ of advertising & marketing annual spending across PepsiCo International's business operations (Focus is on Brazil, Russia, India, China and Turkey initially).The position will serve as single GP leadership contact point responsible for integrating strategy and execution across multiple media buying and operations functions. The position will lead category responsibility for the major PepsiCo International markets and focus on strategies for TV, Print, OOH, Radio, Local Media, and all support operations related to media procurement. The role will serve as the single GP leadership contact point responsible for integrating strategy and execution across PI division partners (Foods & Beverages).Principal Accountabilities - Direct, define and implement A&M sourcing strategies and initiatives to drive the delivery of corporate earnings, growth strategy, and business transformation objectives for responsible categories - Collaborate with the PI Support Center marketing leaders, the regional PI market marketing leaders and their respective A&M media agency networks. - Collaborate with regional procurement teams where applicable to drive Power of One synergies. - Lead, develop and set direction for a high performing and motivated team professionals responsible for interfacing with functional/business unit management and agency partners - Interact directly with PI senior management to create and manage effective alignment with marketing and division leadership - Serve as single GP leadership contact point to ensure seamless integration of responsible A&M categories to support PI divisions - Apply world-class sourcing processes - supplier evaluation, selection and performance reporting, contract negotiation, price inflation management, and net total cost savings metrics - Align regional and global organization structure to maximize achievement of sourcing objectives and strengthen our regional presence globally - Direct the development and negotiation of highly complex, corporate wide, strategic supplier alliances encompassing multiple channel partners and multi-agency collaborations - Create and deploy enterprise-wide metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities and efficiencies and work with business unit/functional leaders to prioritize and drive implementation - Evaluate and recommend strategic opportunities/initiatives to senior management utilizing current and emerging business models, assessing short-term and long-term industry and strategic considerations - Lead the acquisition of a wide range of advertising and marketing services which support individual business units while leveraging the collective interests at the enterprise level - Develop and deploy enterprise-wide policies and objectives in alignment with business/functional leadership - Establish best practice protocols and processes to ensure that corporate functions and business units leverage common interests and support the corporate governance models - Develop and champion a Supplier Relationship Program that enables the management of overall relationship with suppliers in collaboration with key stakeholders and executive sponsors - Lead quarterly forums with suppliers to review project status and performance against deliverables and create mutually agreed upon improvement programs as required - Direct the development and implementation of processes and management oversight to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of strategic sourcing initiatives - Provide an enterprise-wide forum for sharing key best practices in the industry among stakeholders - Form, facilitate, and lead sourcing team and project teams in the implementation of sourcing strategy across multiple PepsiCo operating companies to ensure productivity objectives - Develop a communication strategy to keep internal clients informed of progress and benefits of the programDirection - Direction and leadership is provided by the Senior Group Manager PI A&MDimensions - Approximately $300MM+ of spending across BRIC + T - Internal stakeholder alignment across PI Support Center and PI Divisions - Travel 30-40%, international and domestic as Challenges - Lead investment of all sourcing-related activities with respect to the above referenced categories - Establish Global Procurement as a valued team member within the PepsiCo divisional marketing functions and collaborate with them to identify and implement strategic sourcing opportunities - Effectively leverage industry best practices - Identify or design industry alternatives to optimize PepsiCo position - Maintain a long-term vision, despite daily operational challenges - Effectively leverage best procurement practices - Continually identify new, innovative methods of driving value to PepsiCo - Utilize well honed project management skills and rigor to manage complex business scenarios in a time sensitive environment.
Requirements:
