Lead Business Analyst
LPL's National Sales & Marketing group is seeking a Lead Business Analyst who will be responsible for financial modeling and other quantitative business analysis; preparing and reviewing reporting and presentation materials; supporting the oversight and management of departmental budgets, and project management / issue tracking support within the division. The position will require a diverse skill set including financial analysis and modeling, research capabilities, presentation skills, and project management. Our goal is to ensure that the President of National Sales and other senior executives are receiving timely and thorough documentation of business unit performance, budget influences, and project statuses across the division. The opportunity provides exposure to senior level management and to all of the Sales and Marketing business units.
The Lead Business Analyst position will report to the SVP of National Sales and Marketing.
General Duties include:
Provide financial modeling support and/or work with LPL’s Financial Planning and Analysis group to review business initiatives
Manage the preparation and review of reporting and presentation materials including various project presentations, Operating Forum presentations and Board Meeting materials
Tracking of budget variance items and review of monthly budget to actual reports to identify causes of significant variances
Organization and tracking of selected business unit projects
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a BA/BS degree from a 4-year university and have demonstrated top academic performance. Coursework focus in Accounting, Finance or Economics is a plus.
Prior financial services experience required, preferably in retail brokerage
At least 5-8 years of job experience in an analytic and/or project support capacity.
Strong, proven quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to work under strict timelines with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines successfully.
Personal integrity, high degree of professionalism, ambition and a strong work ethic.
Highly proficient and experienced in using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Powerpoint.
