Position Summary: The Role:
We are seeking a Junior (entry-level) Product Marketing Manager (PMM) for JBoss Middleware who will be responsible for product marketing activities for middleware products within Red Hat?s middleware line of business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conducting market research and identifying market opportunities for middleware products. - Performing market segmentation and identifying target markets. - Assisting in positioning middleware products to optimize revenue opportunities and maximize market share. Developing compelling value propositions and market messages - Performing competitive analysis and competitive positioning - Assisting in developing comprehensive business plans for products. - Assisting in developing all sales and marketing tools and collateral including sales presentations, product collateral, and other promotional material. - Assisting in determining product promotional programs and campaign strategies to drive awareness and lead generation. Developing online promotional and web content. - Involvement in managing product launches. Work closely with product management to determine product roadmaps. - Work closely with Field marketing, program marketing and corporate marketing organizations
Required Skills & Experience:
- The individual must have 1-3+ years of product marketing and/or product management experience within software companies. - The individual should have experience with middleware products such as application servers, integration servers, data integration and application development tools and technologies. - The individual should have experience with JEE, Java, Web services and distributed computing environments, including SOA. - The individual must have a BS/BA; an MBA is preferred (or commensurate work experience).
