IT Project Manager - Quality Systems
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
The Hamilton Sundstrand Information Technology department is seeking an IT Solution Architect/Project Manager with experience leveraging technology to drive efficiencies in business processes and support the Hamilton Sundstrand Path to Gold initiative from an IT standpoint. The candidate will work with cross functional teams in the development of business requirements and will manage projects through the full systems development life cycle including writing technical specifications, managing on and off-shore resources, creating test plans, tracking progress and communicating status. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and work well in a cross functional team environment. Experience delivering solutions involving one or more of the following is required: enterprise resource planning, data warehousing, enterprise collaboration, web applications and portals. Business process experience in quality management systems, operations and procurement is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide and implement industry standard/best practice solutions to meet the changing business needs and opportunities
- Communicate with customers with a focus upon building productive relationships
- Prepare and deliver presentations that communicate system benefits and project objectives
- Ensure project compliance with IT' Software Development Life Cycle standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Export controls
- Conduct gap analysis, coordination of gap closure through development of business process changes and system configuration/modifications and system implementation
- Evaluate and recommend commercial off the shelf software solutions where applicable
- Serve as the contact to end users for support related requests
- Coordinate resources across functions
- Support the department' ACE quality initiatives and our drive for continuous improvement

5+ years of business analysis and/or project management experience
3+ years of managing contractor resources (Onsite or offshore)
Some travel is required
