Position Description
* Lead the integrated delivery and coordination effort in pre-construction and construction through the implementation of advanced software technologies. * Train project team members in the management and use of electronic construction information. * Assist project leaders in the field through the complete lifecycle of building projects. * Support project teams through the development of logistic studies. * Generate 3D/4D Models for evaluation, production, and planning. * Typically located on project site - working directly with project team. * Coordinate with project team members to assist in the management of shop drawing/model production. * Primary point of contact for the management and implementation for 3D technology use. * Incorporate construction methods in a 3 dimensional environment. (i.e. elements in 3D are those elements required for proper coordination and construction).
Qualifications
Basic * Strong verbal and graphic communication ability. * Willingness to be given instruction and follow through with production. * Self Starter with the ability to work independently and within a team. * Vigor and desire to learn new processes and technologies. * Strong understanding of construction detailing. * Possess technical knowledge of commercial building design and documentation. * Strong knowledge and ability to use computer aided design. * Manage and facilitate design coordination cross disciplines. * Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training. Essential * Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architectural Drafting or other related degree from an accredited college or university in the requirement as well as appropriate additional and continuing educational courses. * Two or more years in the design and commercial construction industry is preferred. * Entry level experience in the production of design documents and design detail drawings. Minimum Software Proficiencies * High level of competency with advanced software. (2D and 3D AutoCAD minimum) * Proficiency with Autodesk Architectural Desktop (ADT), Autodesk Building Systems (ABS), Autodesk Revit, or Graphisoft Constructor preferred. Additional Software Proficiencies * Navisworks, Primavera, and 3DS Max or Viz. * Animation experience a plus.
