Group Product Manager
Participates as a key member of the Professional Organization and ID team, contributing to the development of the business plan, the creation of strategies, and driving the execution of the day to day activities to meet the objectives
• Along with the Director, develops 3-5 year business unit roadmaps that identify business objectives, strategies and tactics • Identifies and target consumer segments, and uncovers their underlying needs • Helps generate and cluster solutions that address unmet consumer needs • Champions products / ideas through the development process from concept assessment to commercialization • Responsible for the profitability of the businesses, working actively with finance and operations to track and improve business financial performance • Tracks market trends, structure and competition. Scans external environment for, ideas, concepts, emerging technologies, and strategic alliances • Maintains strong working relationships within the Professional Org and ID Battlefield, and with other functional areas. • Provides strategy, plan, budget, forecast and project leadership updates • Directs the activities of 3 employees - 1 SPM, 1 APM, 1 contractor - developing, mentoring and creating a positive sense of teamwork, purpose and growth
Minimum Requirements : • Minimum 8 years experience, 2+ years in a senior level marketing / business development role (experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a similar analytical position a plus) • Experience in all aspects of Marketing, with extensive experience in consumer marketing • Consumer Packaged Goods experience a strong preference • Broad perspective of business and operations • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills • Demonstrated success in the creation and execution of business plans • Demonstrated talent in both analytical and creative arenas • Proven results driving new product growth - consumer insights through to commercialization and market building. • Strong people management and team leadership skills. • Relevant business degree – preferably MBA.
