Game Entertainment Internship - Aberdeen (Sports Marketing/Events/Promotions)
Summary:
As a Game Entertainment Intern, you will be responsible for helping organize and operate all aspects of game day entertainment, including pre-game, in-game, and post-game elements.ÿ This position will help manage theme nights and develops scripts for the public address announcer, ensuring all elements of the game's entertainment are fulfilled and meeting community & partner requirements, and may also perform as mascot when needed.ÿ
Responsibilities:
As a successful Game Entertainment Intern you will:ÿ
Interact, entertain and communicate with fans
Assist the develop and manage game entertainment script
Help develop new and interesting skits and programs for entertainment
Coordinate community relations programs throughout Maryland featuring team mascot
Assist marketing, advertising, and sales initiatives through game entertainment and community programs
Schedule and facilitate stadium tours
Assist Public Relations Coordinator in player and mascot events and appearances
Develop Theme Nights and Promotional ideas
Participate during each game as an enthusiastic member of the FLIGHT CREW!!!!!
Qualifications:
We require:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Excellent written communication and presentation skills
MUST BE A CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENT or MAY 2012 GRAD!!
High-energy personality
Ability and willingness to put on a show on the field during various parts of each IronBirds game
Preferred:
Knowledge of baseballÿ
Performance skill (dancing, singing, comedy)
Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:
Ability to work long hours and weekends
Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions
