The Freelance Editor is responsible for editing, creating and occasional producing of commercial spots that promote the broadcast of various sports events on the Network. He/she works very closely with the Senior Writer/Producer in exploring and implementing creative ideas for spots and coming up with concepts and completing the reproduction of spots to promote events/shows. He/she will be asked to take an assignment from its beginning stages all the way through to its completion.
Responsibilities:
-Develops and creates concepts and designs ideas for spots and campaigns. -Works with the producers in assuring that video shots are selected and prepares for use in edit sessions. -Edits music and creates original looks for promotional spots and sales/marketing presentations. -Ensures that assigned promos are taken to completion, including audio and mastering laybacks. -Works with the production coordinator so they are properly prepared to assist on projects. Arranges with the production coordinator the edit time and facilities that will be needed for upcoming projects. -Communicates with the director of OAP regarding delivery dates, promo lengths, and scheduled airings. -Other duties as assigned.
