Engineering Application Support 3\4

Information Technology Engineer Provide End-User Support for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Concurrent Product Definition (CPD) activities. Digital Product Definition (DPD) and Digital Pre-Assembly are the main support areas. The applicant will support the following tool suite: CATIA V5, ENOVIA LCA, and IVT.
The primary End User Support (EUS) responsibilities are as follow:
Provide knowledgeable support and guidance related to the usage and functionality of the Composites Design Workbench in CATIA V5.
Investigate end user problems by use of CPD processes and tools.
Provide training support/mentoring in the use of best practice techniques (i.e., Solid modeling, dataset construction, in CATIA V5, PDM navigation, within ENOVIA LCA, IVT)
Participate in the test; validation and implementation with regard to software upgrade activities for the CATIA V5 tool suite.
Create and consult on computing (i.e., CATIA V5, ENOVIA LCA, and IVT) and process related Tip Sheets and Tutorials as related to the support of the day to day end user engineering activities.

Competencies
Strong knowledge and experience with CATIA V5 Composite Design Workbench (5 to 10 years)
Strong knowledge and experience with ENOVIA LCA (5 to 10 years)
Must have very strong interpersonal communication skills
Must have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Applications
Good oral and written skills/be able to deal with large groups of people at one time (i.e., training seminars, mentoring small groups, user meetings)
Must be willing to work in a team oriented environment
Education/Experience
It is highly preferred that the applicant have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering or an engineering related field with at least five to ten years industry experience.

Able to build and manipulate data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files).
Preferred - Ability to manipulate complex computer aided design tools and manufacturing systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to build and manipulate complex data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files).

• Engineering Processes
Basic - Complete knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics). Complete knowledge of the interaction between departments/ disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business).
Preferred - Extensive and specialized knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics). Extensive and specialized knowledge of the interaction between departments/ disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business).

• Engr Knowledge & Comprehension
Basic - Complete knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have at least 3 years or 4,000 Hours experience with the CATIA V5 Composite Design Workbench?

Do you have at least 5 years experience in a CAD/CAM Application Support role?

Typical Education/Experience
Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
