As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of Honeywell commercial HVAC control products through Honeywell distributors while working directly with our existing contractor customers as well as identifying and bringing on board new contractors. This position offers a virtual opportunity.
Our extensive line of controls includes building automation, field devices, pneumatics, digital thermostats, water products, DDC control systems and burner/boiler controllers. Honeywell International is a $31-billion diversified technology and manufacturing global leader.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and execute annual sales plan for the territory leveraging all resources to maximize sales growth.
• Contractor Account Management - 80% of time.
• Distributor support with other sales reps. - 20% of time.
• Includes hosting contractor events at distributor locations.
• Hosting open houses in markets to showcase Honeywell products to contractors.
• Responsible for maintaining current business and managing growth created by contractor conversions.
• Responsible for training contractors and distributors on product value and logistics-related programs.
• Responsible for working with the contractor base to grow the business.
• Relationship building skills are critical to this role.
• Consultant Engineer and End user Sales Calls.
• Create market awareness through contractor channel of Energy Efficiency and Optimization opportunities.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years direct sales experience in related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Field customer sales experience (working with new and existing accounts).
• Demonstrated experience in creating and executing successful client relationships and territory plans.
• Commercial HVAC and energy optimization selling experience.
• Influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix- team environment.
• A diplomatic approach to conflict resolution.
• Strong business-to-business analytical, financial, strategic thinking and marketing skills.
• Strong written and presentation communication skills.
• Experience selling in contracting environment.
• Tridium AX Certification.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED Accredited Professional or similar credentials.
