Employee Communications Manager
Title: Employee Communications Manager Location: Corporate Services -- Lake Success Other Locations: As the Employee Communications Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to support the North Shore-LIJ Health System's HR/Employee Communications initiatives, with an emphasis on driving strategic initiatives and employee engagement, through the creation and dissemination of content through various channels including benefits materials, magazines, newsletters, brochures, intranet and videos.
Responsibilities include: * Works with Senior Director, Internal Communications to organize, manage and implement strategic plans to enhance employee communications and engagement around benefits, compensation, talent management and other HR areas. * Develops and implements programs to effectively communicate the organization's key messages to the employee population. * Supports Human Resources organizational change initiatives. * Assists in developing and executing strategic communications plans that support the organizational and key business goals. * Builds relationships with System and site leadership to support business goals and coordinate special projects at the site level throughout the health system. * Oversees the production ofTransforming Your Caremagazine and other employee publications. * Oversees production and writes original content for employee publications and intranet, including benefits materials. * Manages day to day activities of Employee Communication staff. * Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing, required. * Minimum of five (5) years experience in corporate communications or internal communications, required. Experience with HR/Benefits communications, preferred. * Strong writing and editing experience with published work. * Excellent organizational, change management and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of the organization. * Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and changing priorities and to work within a team environment. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
