The Director of Email Strategy and Planning will lead and manage a group of professionals who support email marketing efforts within Citi cards. This individual will identify opportunities to optimize Citi cards email marketing from both a customer experience and business results perspective, increasing metrics and creating best in class email experiences. They will oversee contact management optimization efforts, planning and prioritization, reporting and analytics as well as a comprehensive creative and content enhancement effort. The leader of the Email Strategy and Planning group will be critical to driving overall Citi cards Digital business and customer centric objectives. They will manage a team responsible for:
Contact Management Optimization: In an effort to deliver best in class email experiences this person will develop an overall contact management strategy that provides increased relevance to our customers and material revenue to the business, utilizing testing, analytics and email platform innovation;
Strategy reporting, analytics and testing: Develop and manage testing, reporting and analytics geared towards understanding and optimizing our channel.
Deployment Planning and Prioritization: Insure flawless execution of all Citi card email campaigns with a special focus on targeting and prioritization. Enhance current processes and procedures.
Innovation: Understand and advocate for compelling new email practices
Driving creative best practices: In collaboration with internal and external resources optimize our current email template designs using qualitative and quantitative research.
Qualifications The candidate will have 10 to 15 years of experience in marketing with a strong focus in the digital channels. Ideally, this person will have had direct experience in email marketing either from the execution or strategic side and will be able to deliver email strategies that drive customer experience improvements, ROI to the business and process efficiencies. This leader may have worked in digital agencies, e-commerce teams or product teams. An MBA or graduate degree is preferred but not required. Preferred skills:
