EDUCATIONAL MARKETING COORDINATOR
Distance Education and Learning Technologies (DELT) Educational Marketing Coordinator (Contractual Position to June 23, 2013) Duties Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Business Development, the successful applicant will work in a team based environment and be responsible for the marketing of Memorial's Distance Education and Learning Technologies (DELT) division. Duties include leading marketing research initiatives to define target markets and trends to complement marketing and recruitment efforts; developing and implementing marketing strategies for online and distance education and learning technology services; managing unit level marketing programs, materials and activities; overseeing the design and development of collateral materials for DELT's services; coordinating the placement of print, electronic and web-based advertisements; leading media and promotional buys; liaising on behalf of the unit with creative agencies and suppliers; coordinating and implementing marketing campaigns; working with client relations on implementing and measuring the effectiveness of student recruitment, retention and outreach activities; managing lead prospecting and realization efforts; participating on DELT's enrolment working group; preparing advertising analysis and recruitment effectiveness reports; researching and executing e-marketing initiatives and online social networking strategies; monitoring post-secondary recruitment trends; conducting market research for the launch of new programs and competitive positioning and analysis; assessing service and brand awareness; and performing other related duties as required. Qualifications Experience (3-5 years) in marketing and account management, preferably related to e-learning, education/training and/or technology; graduation with a degree from a recognized university, with major course work in business, or public relations; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience in the development of marketing strategies and conducting secondary and primary market research is required. Salary $44,240 - $62,036 per annum Closing Date August 6, 2010 Competition Nos.
