Position Summary
HumanConcepts is looking for an exceptional product marketer to join our organization in Sausalito. Responsibilities include executing the go-to-market strategy and plan; defining, delivering and maintaining product messaging; and managing outbound marketing activities to drive awareness, acquisition and active usage of the product on a worldwide basis. This role reports to the Vice President of Marketing.
The Director Product Marketing Manager collaborates with product management, engineering and sales teams to lead go-to-market activities. Deliverables include messaging, competitive positioning, web content, solution-level sales tools, field communications and lead generation. In this role, the Director Product Marketing collaborates closely with PR, analyst relations, creative services, demand generation, web marketing, channel marketing and field sales teams to drive customer acquisition and retention.
Responsibilities
Create positioning that is consistent and recognizable across the company and direct the development of key messaging that demonstrates compelling value for customer/prospects and differentiates our products and solutions from the competition
Drive go-to-market strategies, with input from cross-functional teams, and execute go-to-market plans, incorporating activities related to awareness, customer acquisition and customer retention.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a primary point of contact for global demand generation programs, sales enablement and organizational readiness.
Build buyer personas that drive messaging and customer closeness.
Develop compelling marketing collateral, website content, sales tools, white papers, competitive positioning, data sheets, solution briefs, white papers, ROI tools, presentations and sales training material.
Collaborate to develop customer references that can be leveraged for sales and marketing activities (peer references, success stories, webcasts) as well as press and analyst briefings.
Support business development, field and corporate marketing in events and demand generation activities.
Provide technically accurate direction and comments in all marketing planning and collateral development.
Execute against budget, including quarterly tracking and analysis.
Champion key cross-organizational initiatives. Conduct win/loss interviews and aggregate findings into actionable findings.
Create compelling pricing and packaging and define optimal pricing/packaging strategies by deployment model, geography and/or vertical market.
Requirements:
5-7 years marketing experience in technology or related field
Strong strategic thinking capabilities with ability to frame issues, drive appropriate analyses, and make clear, actionable recommendations
Results-orientation with the ability to develop metrics and analyze data
Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic
Ability to think strategically and delivery tactically
Demonstrated experience in supporting sales teams and channels to increase deal close rates and revenue objectives
Ability to identify sales and channel needs and successfully translate those needs into effective tools, training and marketing requirements
Highly collaborative with solid ability to build cross-functional relationships, consensus, drive decision making and rally the team around a well defined product, business and go-to-market strategy.
Strong writing skills with experience drafting messaging and contributing copy/editorial to basic product collateral as necessary.
