Objective: Grow user reach and retention by leading product marketing activities; from managing consumer insights and competitive intelligence; to driving product innovation and consumer adoption – ultimately to ensure we deliver the right product solutions to the right target audiences.
Overview: Telenav, a leader in personalized navigation, is seeking a highly-accomplished, consumer-focused, and creative leader to define, develop, and deliver our Product Marketing strategy. This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage effort with the resources of a highly-profitable business.
We need an individual with significant product marketing experience across Mobile, Web, Automotive, and Enterprise target audiences – and demonstrated success working with agencies, product, and engineering teams to prioritize, position, package, and promote products and services.
You are a consumer-focused marketing and product leader. You have a strong understanding of the Mobile ecosystem – from apps to advertising – and a unique blend of skills in developing deep consumer insights and competitive intelligence to drive product innovation.
You must have prior success evangelizing, educating, and exciting people about new products and services. You demonstrate excellence in developing new marketing and product ideas – and expertise in executing effective consumer awareness, user acquisition, and product adoption strategies.
You are a highly-motivated self-starter who has a track record of achievement and thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. You have broad marketing expertise and experience working with external agencies and internal teams to develop innovative products and creative promotions.
Responsibilities:
Define, deliver, and drive the Product Marketing strategy and execution plan
Analyze our 3Cs opportunities and threats (Customer, Competition, Company)
Define the 4Ps requirements (Positioning, Product, Packaging, Placement)
Drive the 3Rs results with cross-functional teams, prioritizing 1) Retention, 2) Reach, 3) Revenue
Generate consumer insights, market information, competitive intelligence – educate the company
Define product growth opportunities and success factors for audience reach and user retention
Inform product strategy, priorities, and requirements to win consumers and beat competitors
Build the right team to drive Mobile, Autos, and Web user acquisition and product adoption
Collaborate with other Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Business Development teams
Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Mobile, Autos, and Web-based consumer product marketing
Significant experience, proficiency in, and passion for Mobile, Autos, and Web technologies
Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and consensus without clear authority
Track record of proactively establishing and following through on commitments
Blend of consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and technical knowledge
Demonstrated use of analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to drive decisions
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, creative, and communications skills
Team player in driving marketing results combined with a positive attitude
Strong work ethic and strong core values (honesty, integrity, creativity)
