Summary of Job: is looking for a talented individual to oversee its business planning and analysis function, which resides within the company’s marketing department. This position requires strategic thinking, data analysis, creative problem solving, project management, and people management skills. The Director of business planning and analysis is responsible for the overall performance of that department and will be measured on its ability to uncover opportunities that will drive significant revenue in the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and manage the company’s first ever business planning and analysis department.
• Provide thought leadership on the departments role within the organization and the specific responsibilities of the various team members.  
• Spearhead the management of the overall business planning and quarterly forecasting process for the company throughout the year.
• Develop the necessary reporting infrastructure required to properly and efficiently complete our business planning and quarterly forecasting process.
• Provide superior analytical insights into the business to uncover additional opportunities for growth in the business.
• Work closely with senior leaders on the marketing team to identify opportunities and projects that will drive significant revenue in the business.
• Work closely with senior leaders in marketing and finance to size opportunities and projects that will drive significant revenue in the business.
  • Accountability for the business planning and analysis team’s overall goals.
  • Effectively manage and motivate a team of marketing analytics professionals.  
  • Liaise with senior leaders within the organization.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added, as business needs change.

Requirements:

• BA/BS with strong academic record (MBA or other Masters preferred)
• Minimum 10 years experience in a business planning type role
• Experience with managing multiple complex and moving projects simultaneously.

• Ability to develop and implement a strategic vision 
• Demonstrated strength in analytical/logical reasoning
• Ability to analyze and integrate various data sources to uncover insights
• A very high level of comfort working with data, including cleaning data and integrating multiple data sources
• Questions conventions and demonstrates intellectual curiosity to provide superior insights.

• Detail Oriented, Self Motivated, and Proactive, with excellent organizational skills
• Experience managing and motivating a team of professionals.
• Ability to partner with other departments to move projects forward
• Ability to demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven history of meeting and/or exceeding aggressive deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment
• Mastery of excel and proficient in all other standard Windows Microsoft programs
