Highly successful Network Marketing Company based in San Francisco is seeking to fill a challenging, newly created key role. The Director of Business Intelligence will develop and execute database mining and reporting tools to provide critical information for both short and long term business goals and strategies. While reporting to the VP of Finance, the position works across organizational boundaries. The ideal candidate will embrace this opportunity to create success models that will drive the future of this young company.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with field sales and business development to understand the behavioral economics of the company’s customers and independent business partners
Identify key performance indicators for analysis of program ROI as a means of creating competitive advantage in both product category and marketing channel
Create and interpret business dashboards and reports for both the company and its independent business partners
Design and create modeling tools for strategic planning and multiple scenario analyses, including compensation and incentive plan innovation as well as modeling and analysis of other key factors impacting the competitive position
Create monitoring and reporting tools for independent business partners to enable them to maximize the effectiveness of their businesses
Develop data base mining tools to identify patterns and create the business transparency necessary for both short term decisions and longer term strategic planning
Develop modeling tools for budgeting and resource planning, including revenue and product forecasting
Benchmark the company’s position vìs a vìs its competitors in both the consumer products and beauty industries
Create tracking mechanisms to evaluate the performance of customer support calls and identify opportunities for optimization of the customer experience
Requirements
BS/BA in Finance or related field; MBA preferred
Proven ability to create and implement dashboard reporting tools, including ability to analyze and identify key performance metrics
Strong understanding of and ability to utilize data mining tools
Prior experience in analyzing data and implementing reporting tools related to sales compensation and incentive plans
Prior experience in Direct Marketing Sales, FMCG or related industry
Excellent software skills, including advanced Excel, CRM software, financial information software (ERP system) and data mining/warehousing tools
Successful track record in creating change in an entrepreneurial environment through improvement of analytical decision tools
Proven ability to work collaboratively and interdependently with constituents
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
