Director, Brand Management and Communications
Comcast is seeking a Director, Brand Management and Communications, to serve as an integral member of the Marketing Communications team, to develop and implement the Comcast brand experience both externally and internally. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the Comcast brand is expressed clearly and consistently across all touch points to drive brand consideration and preference among prospective and current cable customers, respectively. We are seeking a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing high impact brand marketing communications programs and executed brand strategy efforts across a large, multifunctional organization. Candidate must be able to lead and motivate agency partners and influence internal stakeholders across the company. This role is accountable for ensuring the companys brand positioning and identity is expressed clearly and consistently across all touch-points, including both external and internal communications. Success in this role requires leadership combined with innovation and creative problem-solving skills.
-Support brand positioning and related brand communications objectives (e.g., building brand awareness, consideration, improving brand recall scores) by composing and incorporating advertising/messaging goals into the brand plan in order to ensure concept alignment with brand positioning. -Align with product marketing and product development to operationalize the brand bringing consistency of brand voice, visual identity and employee behaviors across all consumer touch points. -Improve brand operations and effectiveness, including brand governance and outreach at the corporate and division levels to gain support for and alignment of the brand standards across all external and internal communications. -Monitor and evaluate competitive activities and recommend strategies to improve our market position. -Collaborate with Acquisition team to ensure brand standards are upheld on all corporate led communications. -Build consensus among stakeholders to enable the adoption and execution of all brand-related initiatives. -Steward the nomenclature strategy to ensure that all product, feature and service naming conventions are aligned. Oversee the end-to-end name generation process, from brief development, legal and trademark searches to trademark filing and overall governance, to ensure names and other Comcast intellectual property are properly represented. Interface with product teams, billing, regulatory and legal to get names cleared, adopted and used properly across the company. -Oversee the visual brand identity system, from strategy to general maintenance of the brand guidelines to ensure that all changes to the guidelines are communicated throughout the organization and to external agencies.
-Collaborate with Research team to monitor brand health, track customer insights, technology adoption trends and key consideration drivers. Interpret findings and socialize feedback.
Required Skills: -Five to eight + years of related brand management experience including progressive responsibility and extensive advertising and creative development experience. -Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business required. MBApreferred. -Strong knowledge of Entertainment, Telecommunications and Consumer Electronics industries. -Strong presentation and communication skills. -Proven track record in project management, and the ability to rapidly shift priorities based upon marketplace demand.
