Overview:
Support Macy's Direct Marketing initiatives by supporting and creating direct marketing campaigns, analyzing customer behavior and market trends using customer information and event results to determine ongoing strategy using the Customer Intelligence @ Macys (CIM) database. The Direct Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President, Direct Marketing or Direct Marketing Director.
Key Accountabilities:
The Direct Marketing Manager responsibilities are:
Maintain and manage corporate directive campaigns supporting calendar events for corporate driven campaigns using the Unica Affininum Campaign tool.
Use the most strategic method to set up campaigns using either models or RFM selection. Support campaign selection with sound analytic methodology by doing pre and post analysis for all mailings.
Coordinate with Corporate Division events every aspect of direct mail including coordination of schedule, execution of list, creating campaign summary, final output of list to mailhouse, etc.
Work with Vice President to assist in providing strategic guidance to Divisions in support of direct marketing efforts, which include FOB or Vendor mailings. Guidance will consist of analytic approach to support strategy, control groups sizes and direction to implement in CIM.
This role will also consist of training and developing of corporate and divisional direct marketing teams. The training role will be coordinated and supported with the business partner. It will consist of updating training materials, pre-class surveys, class evaluations, class exercises, setting up training site and all needed mentoring after. This includes mentoring the MCM DM team.
Direct Marketing Manager will coordinate and run User Effectiveness Workshops with all divisions including MCH, MMG and MCCS. These workshops will consist of training new techniques and development of best practices for both Unica and Business Objects. This role will also assist in defining best strategic methods to setup campaigns for optimal campaign selection.
Analyze customer purchasing behavior, market trends and customer segments as part of the ""Customer Profile"". Work with other areas of the organization to support analytic initiatives. This will include special projects that support other areas of the organization.
Support ad hoc reporting and analytic needs for the ""My Macy's"" initiative from MCM, MMG, MCH and other operating divisions. This includes receiving requests, translating requirements into database queries, and documenting actionable interpretations of results. These requests can range from identifying the purchasing history for a particular group of customers to identifying opportunities to promote customers across merchandise divisions.
Assist in the development of new analytical approaches and techniques that can improve list production, reporting and business problem solving operations.
Maintain computer skills and an understanding of all variables necessary for list production and direct marketing reporting on the CIM system and Business Objects.
Skill Summary:
Four-year degree in Business, Marketing or other related fields.
Ability to prioritize and provide consistent attention to detail. Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment.
Experience with relational databases, business intelligence tools and data analytics.
Self-motivated with strong analytical and written / verbal presentation skills
Ability to summarize and present complex findings in a clear, concise and timely manner
Strong conceptual / creative thinker with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Maintain computer skills and an understanding of all variables necessary for list production and direct marketing reporting on the CIM system and Business Objects.
