Position Overview Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Brand Development, the Direct Marketing Coordinator will play a strong role in the execution of many marketing initiatives. You will be a team player with a strong sense of urgency, high attention to detail and superior communication skills (verbal and written). Projects will include planning, coordinating, and executing of various marketing activities as well as the operational and logistical elements relating to these initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: Developing Business to Business Partnerships to promote The Brick brand Work with Brick Credit team to create joint promotion opportunities. Development and implementation of marketing and branding campaigns. Targeted partnerships with current and future partners during special events. Developing additional promotional opportunities with all of The Brick’s existing vendors. Obtain over and above funding from business partners/vendors whenever possible. Reviewing all contra opportunities with all media (print and broadcast) partners. Working with all business prospects coast to coast, targeting local and national businesses with our Regional Directors and Executive Team. Expanding promotional opportunities through internet partnerships, print opportunities, and special events. Create marketing calendars in accordance with all events. Complete post analysis of events and promotions. Direct Mail Program – work with all direct mail opportunities for all banners. The Brick, Brick Mattress Stores, United Furniture Warehouse and Clearance. Developing a strategic plan through email campaigns, direct mail opportunities and one to one marketing. Work with Canada Post in doing analysis and targeted direct mailers. Oversee direct mail budgets. Education & Experience Required Post secondary education in Marketing or Business is required Minimum 2 years in a marketing/advertising related role Experience in direct marketing is highly desirable Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship Knowledge & Skills Required A team player, with the ability multi-task and who thrives in a fast paced environment. Strong communication skills both written and verbal; must have exceptional spelling & grammar skills Results-driven and deadline oriented with the ability to follow through on timelines. Proven deliverables under pressure. Strong organizational skills, with superior attention to detail. Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
