AutoReqId 35749BR Function Marketing and Sales Division Electrical Sensing & Controls Division External Job Title Customer Service Account Manager- Costa Mesa, CA Job Description Coordinate across functional disciplines to achieve customer satisfaction. Manage performance against customer requirements, perform contract negotiations, and ensure division is responsive to customer needs. Ensure timely and effective customer communications internally and externally to fulfill contract obligations meeting quality, cost, and on-time delivery expectations. Using Pro Launch provides direction and coordination of Sales, Finance, Engineering, Quality, Procurement and Manufacturing department activities from proposal through the design, development, qualification and production phases. Develop and maintain relationships that foster additional growth opportunities and up-sell products as an extension of the sales force.
Essential functions include the following: Function as a primary focal point of contact for all customer inquiries and represents the voice of the customer within the division Communicate accurate and timely information and responses to customer requests Provides non-customers with distributor information source to contact for products Negotiates contract pricing, delivery, administrative requirements and terms and conditions ensuring compliance with Eatons policies from proposal through shipment Contract review of all orders for customer requirements to ensure that the processing of orders are complete and accurate in every detail Coordinate the internal activities of all departments involved in achieving customer commitments Resolve issues by achieving a mutually acceptable solution between Eaton and the customer Represents the company at customer review meetings Lead the internal bid and proposal process for new business opportunities Maintains and assures compliances with all export control regulations Manages and maintains customers supplier web-base purchasing systems Processes orders received into the ERP system and/or other support data bases Analyzes all requests for quotations and responds accordingly. Research and negotiate long term agreements to offer acceptable margins and maintain competitive edge Provides continuous feedback to the customer on order status throughout the production cycle through interaction with focus factory disciplines
Job Qualifications /Educational Requirements BA Degree Required Export Compliance Regulations Product and plant knowledge that increases through product training and interaction with planners. Proficient with data entry and processing with computer systems such as Oracle, AS400, and MS Office Tools. Use of Access, Pro Launch, Internet Services related to customers requirements. Strong MS Excel skills in manipulating and validating large amounts of data Proactive sense of urgency in providing the best service possible. The ability to process large volumes of daily phone calls, e-mails, and customer requests while monitoring supplier web sites for orders and updates. Responding daily to customer requests with written quotations using Access based program. Three to five years related experience. APICS certification desired. Evidence of on-going effort to achieve either status a plus. Experience Required: Previous customer service experience is desired.
