Job Description:
Job Summary:
Coordinate all sales and marketing functions and strategies for National Accounts. Under limited supervision, performs duties following established procedures in the following areas:
Essential Functions:
* Solicits orders for product over the telephone. Calls existing customers to explain products offered suggest related products, quantity discount, or special promotions.
* Manages ongoing sales efforts, implements promotions and sales incentives.
* Prepare and maintain all documentation relating to markdowns, discontinues, and advertising agreements.
* Record names, account numbers, purchases, order numbers and reactions of prospects solicited.
* Process orders and documents transactions using keyboard and computer applications.
* Resolve customer concerns by obtaining information through computer applications and interaction with internal departments, calling customers back with correct or new information.
* Obtains a daily call minimum and prepares a shift summary report of sales activities.
* Faxes customers regarding nutritional information, products, and promotional information.
* Works independently and as a team; retains the ability to interact with the sales team as a partner to complete work.
* Responsible for daily Electronic Data Interface (EDI) operations relating to National Accounts.
* Monitor National Account activities using vendor sites.
* Create accounting, EDI, and discrepancy reports on vendor sites.
* Collects information on sales performance, analyzes information and creates reports for review.
* Manages relationships and interfaces daily with National Accounts.
* Accounts Receivables/ Collections for National Accounts.
* Manage all incoming purchase orders and returns for National Accounts.
* Identify and resolve pricing, product, and shipping discrepancies.
* Liaison between brokers, customers and senior level management.
* Ensure compliance on all insurance, shipping, and packaging requirements designated by Trade Commission and customer.
* Research and identify validity of credits and allowances.
* Maintaining excellent relationships with buyers and brokers.
* Monitor and adjust inventory levels for National Account products.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
* Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with two or more years in a related sales management environment.
* Excellent computer skills with demonstrated ability to learn new software applications quickly.
* Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations and customer personalities. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements:
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel; and talk or hear.
* The employee must exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, field of vision.
