Must have the following in order to apply: Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations or related communications field with three (3) years experience in the mass media/mass communications, public information, or related field. Job Description: Candidate will plan, coordinate and administer a phase of the college information services program to advance the institutional objectives. Candidate will function in a specific program of institutional advancement or may be assigned projects that involve several areas. Candidate will plan, coordinate and administer a program to provide information to the public which promotes the services and programs of the organization. Candidate will perform specialized functions in an assigned aspect of institutional advancement. Candidate will coordinate the material distribution via community displays in regional shopping malls, businesses and retail stores and other locations. Candidate will implement a program of community displays of college information throughout the area to promote college programs and objectives. Candidate will design brochures, newsletters and informational data. Candidate will write and create media ads, brochures, booklets, flyers and other information to promote the various college programs, activities and opportunities. Candidate will edit, revise and proofread material which has been generated by other departments of the college. Candidate will coordinates with departments regarding projects. Candidate will communicate with media outlets to arrange and confirm advertisements. Candidate will work with external groups regarding the mission and goals of the college. Candidate will coordinate a phase of the overall college recruitment program. Candidate will administer the college's recruitment plans in high schools by explaining degree programs, opportunities, services, facilities, admissions requirements and procedures. Candidate will coordinate, develop and maintain interaction with businesses by representing the college at various activities and events. Candidate will direct and coordinate the Student Ambassador Program for the college. Candidate will perform public speaking engagements at schools, business seminars, meetings and special programs. Candidate will perform related duties as required. Candidate will handle website content review. Candidate will update and review the entire four (4) year website for accuracy, flow and recommendations. Candidate will process paperwork for marketing initiatives as well as assist with planning initiatives.
Work Environment: Office. Sitting and standing.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm. May require some flexibility to attend events.
Pay: $17.09/hr
