JOB SUMMARY: The Community Solutions Specialist will represent Health Net in the community and with our providers educate and grow or retain enrollments to our state sponsored programs (Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, Salud and A.I.M.). This position is responsible for the support of sales and promotion activities for products and services. Conducts member education via telephone calls and promotes understanding and awareness of the government programs via targeted community outreach activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conducts community and school presentations as needed to assist in the implementation of member education and outreach activities. * Organizes Health Fairs that includes: coordinates materials, screenings and necessary documentation and payment for sponsorship. * Participates in health fairs by setting up booths, distributing event materials and following-up by answering mail and telephone calls. Maintains databases with historical information. * Establishes and maintains relationships with community agencies and Public Health Departments to assist in the implementation of member education and outreach efforts. * Provides reports as requested. * Mails and delivers marketing materials to targeted community organizations. * Provides education and marketing on the Medi-Cal products and other CA Health Plans directly to the target eligible population. * Coordinates, organizes, sets-up and staffs targeted community outreach activities. * Maintains and distributes event materials. * Tracks and follows up on referrals generated from marketing materials to provider offices and other organizations. * Develops and maintains a database of historical documentation on events, projects and maintains event profiles. * Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification/License: Requires possession of a current, valid driver's license and proof of insurance along with reliable transportation
Experience: One to two years experience in community outreach, customer service or Medicaid managed care. One year marketing experience or public relations in a health related environment .
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of Medi-Cal insurance * Excellent oral and written communication skills required * Ability to travel within assigned territory and perform weekend work * Ability to fluently communicate in Spanish and English * Ability to work independently and work within a team environment * Computer proficiency with spreadsheets, word documents, and email * Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a consistent basis in performance of duties OR Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
