Position Description
Provide clinical, technical and educational expertise in supporting the market development efforts for CRDM. Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, provide implant support and follow-up, and develop and execute effective training and educational programs. Be a therapy champion and serve as a liaison for the sales organization. Collaborate with the marketing organization to communicate developments in techniques and technologies, impact of education programs, competitive activities, and customer response. Coordinate with CRDM marketing and sales teams to achieve overall business goals.
Position Responsibilities
Provide technical support for all product implants pre case planning, case coverage, follow up and trouble shooting as needed Gather and communicate input from field to marketing regarding market trends, customer satisfaction, competition, product issues Collaborate with marketing to provide support to clinicians in preparing presentations and articles on clinical studies that support marketing objectives Train customers on safe and efficacious use of Medtronic products Provide technical explanation and demonstration to customers including physicians, OR and cath lab staff and administration. Consult with physicians during use and/or implantation of Medtronic products Solicit feedback from customers regarding product performance and design; relay such feedback to marketing colleagues Conduct training programs and participates in on-site follow up with customers Create and deliver presentations to customers during workshops and training programs Serve as an expert on simulators including set-up, demonstrations and trouble shooting Work with marketing and sales organizations on the development of effective training and education events Assist in the development of sales and education materials Develop and maintain knowledge of competitive products and work with marketing to create sales support materials to promote Medtronic products vs. the competition Marketing and Market Development Work closely with the marketing and sales teams in executing strategies needed to meet the business objectives Support local sales management in presenting the technology to potential new customers Support product during congresses Collaborate with marketing manager to build and implement marketing and communication plans, aimed at streamlining clinical positioning of products and ensuring broadest reach to existing and potential customers. Sales Education Provide training to sales reps on therapy, Medtronic products, and competitive products Serve as a field resource to sales reps and provide regular and structured communication to sales organization regarding communication with current account and potential customers
Basic Qualifications
Strong Operating Room and/or Cath Lab experience Marketing knowledge and sensitivity Strong interpersonal and communication skills Understanding of medical device sales process Previous training experience 2 years experience in a clinical setting Fluent in English and Spanish Willingness to travel approximately 60% Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision; whilst at the same time playing an active team role when appropriate Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization Proven evidence of Medtronic Core Competencies Results Orientation Integrity Interpersonal Effectiveness Quality Orientation Continuous Learning Innovation Performance Management Leadership
