The Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Risk Management will be a recognized leader with the experience, knowledge and stature to provide risk related insight and direction to the Chief Risk Officer and an organization that has set an aggressive agenda. He/She will have a minimum of ten years of experience working for a foreign or domestic commercial bank.
This position requires strong intellect, a broad perspective, an ability to think multi-dimensionally and the intellectual confidence to interact.
He/She will offer a point of view based on excellent analysis and sound judgment.
Major Responsibilities
Collate and prepare global management information relating to the running of Corporate Risk Management
Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of the Risk Management initiatives, project management & reporting responsibilities
Collation and production of Risk Executive presentations and other Senior Risk Executive communications
Ad hoc project management, analysis and presentations in support of strategic Risk Management proposals and initiatives
Work closely with senior leaders on strategic project initiatives and presentations
Proven leader with at least 10 years experience in risk and operational risk management
Significant experience in risk (ideally credit or compliance) with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted organization
Excellent administration, analytical, technical and organizational skills
Understanding of risk management principles, methodologies and governance in a financial services environment (FRB or FDIC regulated)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability in communicating with senior executives
Proven track record in the development, deployment and prioritization of multiple projects
Strong relationship building skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior management
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within rigid timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
The successful candidate will be an executive with the following qualifications and experience:
Stature, credibility and intellect to advise and operate with senior leaders
Excellent technical, quantitative and analytical skills
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline, with an M.B.A. or advanced degree preferred
