Supervision:

Vice President - Sales
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access). Ability to manage a variety of work assignments while meeting daily or scheduled deadlines. Strong organizational skills required. Excellent written and verbal skills are essential. Ability to analyze business, identify growth opportunities, and develop and execute plans to achieve that growth. Ability to lead and motivate people, and to get things done in a corporate environment.
Minimum Education Required:
College degree in business/marketing related field. Any equivalent combination of education, experience or training will be considered.
Minimum Years Experience Required:
5 - 7 years sales and/or marketing experience.
Special Requirements of the Position:
Ability to perform lifting and handling of merchandise. Requires visual skills necessary to comprehensively review written materials. Requires hearing and speech abilities necessary to accurately and clearly communicate, internally and externally, while carrying out responsibilities. Ability to travel.
Basic Function:
Serve as licensed brand expert and leader within the Company in terms of messaging, product development and sales.
Major Duties:
- Develop annual Plan for licensed brands, including: identifying key channels and customers, identifying product to be developed and building a marketing program.
- Meet or exceed Plan revenue, gross margin and bottom line targets for licensed brands.
- Lead and monitor product development to ensure product offering is complete, highly marketable and in adherence with brand guidelines.
- Ensure new products meet or exceed corporate gross margin guidelines.
- Establish relationships with key sales personnel in each channel/account.
- Accompany sales personnel on key account calls to present overall brand strategy.
- Identify and contact distributors and other sales partners as appropriate to accelerate market penetration.
- Establish and maintain effective relationship with brand licensor to obtain maximum support.
- Secure licensor approval on product and marketing materials.
- Maintain tracking system for approval process with licensor.
- Make program recommendations to VP of Sales.
- Assist in new customer contract negotiation and set-up as required.
- Ensure all aspects of the company’s licensed brand programs reflect positively on the company, the brands and the licensors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
