Supervision:

Reports To:
Vice President - Sales
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to manage a variety of work assignments simultaneously while meeting daily or scheduled deadlines. Strong organizational skills required. Excellent written and verbal skills are essential. Ability to analyze business, identify growth opportunities, and develop and execute plans to achieve that growth, often through others but sometimes on a direct basis. Ability to get things done in a corporate environment.
Minimum Education Required:
College degree in business/marketing related field. Any equivalent combination of education, experience or training will be considered.
Minimum Years Experience Required:
7-10 years sales experience, including international responsibility.
Special Requirements of the Position:
Ability to perform lifting and handling of merchandise. Requires visual skills necessary to comprehensively review written materials. Requires hearing and speech abilities necessary to accurately and clearly communicate, internally and externally, while carrying out responsibilities. Requires extensive traveling outside the United States.
Basic Function:
Grow International Sales channel by developing a distributor network and directly managing sales to major accounts.
Major Duties:
- Develop annual Plan for International channel, including: identifying key countries and customers, identifying product to be developed and sold, and building a marketing program.
- Meet or exceed Plan revenue, gross margin and bottom line.
- Lead and monitor product development to ensure product offering is complete, highly marketable and in adherence with brand guidelines.
- Ensure new products meet or exceed corporate gross margin guidelines.
- Recruit distributors in countries identified for penetration.
- Support distributors in terms of product supply, marketing and other issues that may arise.
- Maintain direct relationships with current key International customers, and add new major accounts as appropriate.
- Negotiate distributor, customer and other agreements as required, subject to involvement by corporate counsel.
- Create an efficient distribution system for making less-than-container load deliveries to International customers.
- Make program recommendations to VP of Sales.
- Ensure products and marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines consistently in all countries.
- Implement a means of resolving warranty repair issues in each country of activity.
- Ensure all aspects of the company’s International channel reflect positively on the company and its brands.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
