Department
The Web & Data Strategy team is responsible for:
- Transforming into a consistent, value-maximizing platform for customers to access our research, data and analytical content. We analyze web usage trends, conduct focus groups, monitor the competitive landscape, design, enhance and operate with a relentless focus our continual improvement.
- Extending the reach of Moody's content through channels. The focus of the team is on expanding the reach of Moody's content through current partners and developing new relationships with potential for broader distribution opportunities. Responsibilities include partnering with channels that will increase traffic referral back to , licensing Moody's content for use within partners' services, and establishing new sales channels for our premium subscription services.
Responsibilities
The Marketing Associate will help develop new opportunities and identify new business within existing relationships to expand the reach of Moody's content services. This opportunity will allow the Associate to work with teams across the organization to implement new deals and cultivate relationships with external partners. The Associate will be required to create marketing and communication materials as new opportunities arise in order to promote our initiative and help educate Moody's sales team. This opportunity has an entrepreneurial focus; a successful marketing associate will find creative ways to form new relationships in order to broaden the Moody's distribution network. The key measurement of success will be contributions directly tied to increasing subscription and one off sales of Moody's content along with implementing relations which increase traffic to . The candidate must be a self-starter and will be responsible for directing opportunities from concept through implementation.
- Perform market and trend analysis to support prioritization and focus of efforts
- Identify and develop new opportunities within existing relationships
- Track and analyze current markets and identify new distribution opportunities
- Form relationships with teams across Moody's to facilitate the transfer of information between groups
- Work with technology and product teams to help build and implement new delivery channels
- Implement marketing programs and educate/train Moody's sales team on new channels
- Work with Moody's legal team to make sure that deals are executed on time and without any errors.
- Work with Director and sales to partner with strategic accounts to identify new long term opportunities
- Develop business cases focused on potential financial returns, and cost and time to implement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher with a strong academic record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention for detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or assignments simultaneously.
- Team player - ability to work with multiple cross-functional groups, including business, technical teams and customers
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, yet integrate appropriately with the team and other areas within Moody's
- 2 to 7 years experience in a similar environment (financial services industry, media, publishing).
- Relevant experience includes web marketing & communications, product development, business analysis, strategic planning, and sales/customer service
- Strong presentation and speaking skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
