The 3M SSD is a leading provider of Security Systems Solutions. The position of Center of Excellence Program Manager for Latin America, located in St. Paul Minnesota will be responsible for developing and executing strategies and operational plans for SSD's Latin America business.
The position of Center of Excellence Program Manager for Latin America will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties: * Develop and execute strategic and operational plans. Lead cross-functional sales, technical and business teams tasked with creating/updating said plans. Drive plans through completion * Establish go-to-COE business/market models * Provide direct supervision to assigned employees. Develop their talents, and ensure they meet or exceed objectives. May manage workforce vendors and contracts. * Serve as one of many division representative in relationships with Latin America, Canada and the US * Identify and pursue alliance and acquisition opportunities, new business models, and segments of opportunity * Analyze and understand SSD's US Subsidiary products, markets, and channels * Work with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product/Segment Marketing, Communications, Branding, Business Development, Technical Service/Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc. to: * Engage with and support initiatives, activities, tradeshows, and other events * Develop marketing business strategies for new and existing products and portfolio programs in conjunction with other business leaders * Adjust business/marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions * Help Determine marketing research, PR and/or advertising direction and methods * Develop and execute projects to continuously improve efficiency and competitiveness * Actively participate in relevant corporate programs/initiatives Looking for an individual who possesses leadership qualities that can be used in cross-functional teams. Individual should be able to analyze and interpret industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives and opportunities. Complex problem solving may require determining solutions for problems that may require in-depth interpretation and analysis for significantly different situations. These abilities should be tied together to drive plans, programs, and sales with creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills. The successful individual should be able to then align said plans and programs with proper goals, metrics and financial expectations for success.
COE Manager should be comfortable working within matrix organization with entrepreneurial attitude of taking the business to a new level by identifying trends and opportunities and communicating to organization, and translating into action plans. Negotiates and counsels on an expert level, justifies controversial positions and demonstrates advanced persuasion skills.
Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * Minimum of 5 years of marketing and/or sales experience Preferred Qualifications: * MBA * Spanish Speaking * Ability to travel within the US, Latin America and Canada 20%: expected to travel to key accounts, business meetings, tradeshows, and other events as needed * Degree with concentration in Sales, Marketing, and System Sales * Experience in government business or DMV related business * Proven track record of consistently delivering measurable results * Understands and anticipates market trends and customer needs * Experience leading cross functional, high-performing teams * Self starter who likes a fast paced environment, can effectively manage change/ambiguity, and conveys a sense of urgency Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to present to variety of audiences (internal and external). * Strong analytical skills Business acumen Ability to work and manage change * Results driven * Ability to move analysis to insight and foster insight opportunities * Demonstrates confidence and optimism, creates positive energy and work environment, and fosters morale * Acts with intelligence, speed and courage to make tough business decisions, taking appropriate risk
