| Job Description CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR The University of North Carolina Greensboro has built a cohesive, motivated, fundraising organization. UNCG will launch a major capital campaign in the upcoming year. We are seeking to fill the Campaign Director position. The Campaign Director reports to the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement and will be a member of the Senior Advancement Staff. The Campaign Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for a comprehensive campaign in key aspects of planning, administration, analysis, and implementation in order to ensure that campaign qualitative and quantitative goals are met. The Director will be responsible for: a) Management and organizational support for Campaign Steering Committee, Auxiliary Capital Campaign Committees coordination, Advance Leadership solicitations, Campus campaign, and other activities. b) Successful establishment of campaign activities inclusive of the needs assessment process with integration and coordination between all units on campus, as well as within the Division of University Advancement. c) Maintenance and tracking of the overall campaign timeline of key dates. Oversight and coordination of campaign initiatives and volunteer leadership committees. d) Assist in scheduling solicitation calls by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, staff, and volunteer leadership of campaign prospects. e) Maintaining a portfolio of 75-100 active major gift prospects and a level of prospect management activity (identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship) inclusive of solicitations for major gifts from rated prospects. f) Oversee the execution of campaign specific events i.e. regional events, kick-off events, celebrations, etc. Includes the management of invitation lists, committee support, event staffing and follow-up. g) Serve as point person between Development and University Relations for campaign related public relations and marketing materials. Work with Special Events Manager to develop and manage campaign related events. h) Serve as point person between Development and Alumni Relations on campaign related issues. Qualifications: Undergraduate degree required, masters preferred. 3-5 years Experience in leading a successful development program/s or campaign/s for a college, university, or other large, complex institution. Demonstrated initiative, leadership, communication skills-both written and verbal. Strong skills as a development officer including knowledge of proven cultivation/solicitation techniques for all gifts at all dollar levels. Proven success in major gift fundraising. Understanding of volunteer board relations inclusive of training and management. Have the capacity to inspire cooperation; work effectively with donors and volunteers. Proven ability to successfully provide executive level staff support to senior volunteers, including meetings and one-on-one volunteer activities. Review of applications will begin September 7, 2010.
