Business Manager. Skagit Publishing has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant/Business Manager, working 8am to 5pm, Mon.-Fri., with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include: acting as the business advisor to the Publisher and each Director, providing them with financial management, accounting services, solutions and choices. Functions of the job will include advanced skill level in Excel and proficiency in Word. Provide and interpret relevant, valid, timely and useful financial information, direct the budgeting and capital budgeting process, must have the ability to identify and address issues. Complete annual budget and monthly variance reports. Prepare monthly financial statements including journal entries, statistics, reconciliations and analysis. Preparation and review of state excise tax. Provide backup and assistance to smooth workload in business office. Minimum qualifications: BA in Accounting and 5 years progressive experience in accounting management. C.P.A. a plus.
