Job Description Summary:
This person will be responsible for supporting the Brand Director in the day-to-day functions of the brand, as well as leading projects to deliver against the brand’s annual strategic, volumetric and financial goals. Inherent in this responsibility is working closely with all functions to translate long-term strategy into highly effective annual marketing and sales strategies and tactics.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Support the development of annual business plans, execute marketing plan activities and recommend on-going modifications to achieve approved top- and bottom-line growth as well as other brand development objectives.
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing materials and programs and offer recommendations for future programs.
Understand brand strategies, link to channel strategies and apply them to the development of brand programs.
Drive effective integration of brand plans/activities with other Company functional areas.
Ability to provide direction via clearly-written briefs and leadership to internal creative departments and manage the creative process is essential.
Lead cross-functional teams in driving the execution of key business building initiatives from inception to launch. Initiatives would include brand extensions, new media and channels, digital marketing tools, packaging, print marketing materials, etc.
Identify opportunities to expand the business in existing channels of trade; also, to facilitate broadening distribution to other channels of trade or new markets.
Manage timelines and day-to-day operational activities with product development, inventory, procurement and customer service.
Analysis of sales trends in all channels.
Develop testing ideas to maximize profitable sales conversion in all channels.
Assist in launch of International product versions and marketing plans.
Requirements:
BA or MBA with high GPA from top-tier university.
2-3 years (post MBA) or 5-7 years (if no MBA) classical brand marketing experience at consumer packaged goods company. Equivalent experience at advertising agency with CPG clients will be considered.
