Position Summary: The Role:
Red Hat is seeking a Brand Designer in Westford, Massachusetts.
Primary Responsibilities: - Develop and design the aesthetics, visual design and/or layout of product artwork, component design, and marketing materials to enhance product image. - Collaborate with project teams to plan, analyze, organize and execute assigned projects. - Assess, by meeting with employees, consultants and/or vendors, the effectiveness of collateral and presentation needs. - Manage relationships with external sources relating to design issues.
Required Skills and Experience: - Experienced in information design including high level visualizations of product (tangible) and technology (less tangible) relationships. - Possesses solid communication skills and a solid track record of building effective interpersonal relationships with senior internal and external personnel. - Can demonstrate the skills expected from a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. - Can help to advance and maintain visuals within an established brand. - Can work cross-platform with standard design applications including Adobe Creative Suite Design Standard and office presentation software (both proprietary and open). - Is a self-starter; can work independently on some projects and collaboratively on others. - Has resolved a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. - Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. - Has work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. - Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
