Cloud computing represents one of the most important evolutions of the IT industry, and a strategic priority for Microsoft. As the marketing leader for the Azure Platform in the region, you will be responsible for driving the business including development of a subsidiary plan across multiple sales and marketing groups and managing a monthly scorecard tracking rhythm. The Azure Platform is an Internet-scale cloud services platform hosted in Microsoft data centers, which provides a platform and a set of services including Windows Azure, SQL Azure, and Azure App Fabric that can be used individually or together. This role will also be responsible for ensuring messaging alignment and proper visibility with key influencers in the region. You will also work with DPE (Developer Platform Evangelism), internal sales teams, the CMG (Central Marketing Group), and key partners on sales planning and joint marketing execution. .
Key responsibilities and activities in this role include: Drive and own the Azure scorecard metric: Windows Azure and SQL Azure paid subscriptions. Manage a monthly v-team process to monitor subsidiary progress, understand competitive responses and take corrective actions throughout the year Participate in the annual planning process to ensure that azure cloud priorities are integrated into the Operating Model go to market execution and where required develop a cross segment plan and rhythm for the subsdidary. Be the Azure spokesperson for the analyst and press community Supporting field sales in high impact customer engagements and partner deals as the subsidiary subject matter expert. Partner closely with Segment and BMO marketing teams to land high impact marketing investments by providing market, competitive and customer insights. Driving awareness of subsidiary wins and case studies with segment sales teams and leadership Participate in ROBs and provide feedback on marketing and sales strategies to accelerate growth Work with subsidiary/regional Compete teams to ensure integration and alignment in competitive initiatives
Qualifications: BA or Master's degree 5-8 years of related experience Advanced strategic thinking, teamwork, communication, planning and organizational abilities Proven ability to influence without authority and lead virtual teams
