Associate Vice President - Product Management
The AVP for the Product Management Group has a key role in developing plans for SEMCA's current and future planned products in the U.S. marketplace. Primary role is to work closely with Sales, ProductMarketing and the Factory to bring to market leading edge products for Sharp and it's dealers. Product Management is responsible for the complete product lifecycle of the products in SEMCA's portfolio
Manage Product Planning for all SEMCA Product Categories, A/V and Appliances, with particular focus on TV
Create Scheduling of Development Priorities and Project Management.
Analyze price position for Sharp's product line versus competitive products; devise business/sales strategic actions
Research CE and HA industries including but not limited to industry market intelligence to inform our product planning roadmap
Study and propose new technologies to improve Sharp's future competitiveness. This includes working with Third Party Research Agencies and Committees to gain an understanding of the direction of the technology and marketplace and propose positioning for future Sharp Products
Report to international headquarters in Japan on a monthly basis regarding sales results and forecast, market trends and price program reviews
Take an active role in Public Relations as a spokesperson for Sharp's Business Product Line
Support the development of collateral materials, brochures, sales guides, etc...
Set direction for channel expansion by supporting the development of channel plans and product strategies based upon market research, competitive analysis and dealer meetings
Conduct regular product planning meetings with key stakeholders
Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum of 15 Years Industry Product Planning and Product Marketing Experience.
Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive collaboration across multiple groups.
Previous management experience.
Experience working in a multit-cultural corporation is a plus.
Must have a strong understanding of current technologies.
