Position Description The North Atlantic Region now has a great opportunity for a qualified candidate to join the New Jersey/Philadelphia District in Bedminster, NJ as an Associate District Manager working with the incumbent District Manager. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to learn and grow with hands on responsibility and accountability. This position is designed to develop into a District Manager role based on performance and business need.
District Demographics:
? 2010 estimated deposits of $226 million
? 2010 estimated core non-periodics of $76 million ? 2010 estimated EE directed non-periodics - $77 million

The job responsibilities associated with this Associate District Manager position include:
? Recruit, select and train new advisors ? Motivate, coach and assist with advisor development ? Proactively handle operational issues (NBC, Live Office, etc) ? Embrace and promote company initiatives ? Facilitiate the sales of all products offered by VALIC ? Build and maintain group relationships and increase participation levels ? Conduct group educational seminars ? Conduct plan sponsor reviews ? Monitor group product and pricing ? Co-ordinate bid activity and responses ? Address and solve business-related challenges, as needed ? Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the District Manager Position Requirements Additionally, the successful candidate must posses and effectively demonstrate: ? Strong leadership skills ? Demonstrated communication and relationship building skills ? Ability to mentor and coach others ? History of sales excellence (Enrollments, Capital Transfers, Financial Planning) ? Knowledge of all VALIC product offerings ? Ability to plan and be organized ? Ability to be flexible and handle multiple priorities
