We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney to handle and oversee corporate litigation.
* Responsible for providing legal advice and recommendations for initiatives and projects developed in response to client's overall objectives and needs.
* Focus of work is on large scale and/or high financial level projects with broad department and/or organizational impact and moderate level of risk.
* Experience in health care litigation, bad faith defense, 17200 claims, electronic discovery and class action litigation
* You will have your own case load, including court appearances, arbitrations, research, pleadings, discovery, correspondence and settlement negotiations.
* You will also supervise outside counsel and provide advice and assistance to executives and management on corporate, legal and regulatory matters.
* The position requires prior experience as primary attorney on litigation files

Requirements:
Qualified candidate must have:
o A JD degree
o Current license to practice law o Minimum of 9 years of experience as a litigator, preferably practicing in health care or insurance law. o Effectively present information to senior management, o Write business legal reports and correspondence o Self-assured and confident in a variety of settings. o Familiarity with insurance claims, underwriting practiceso Knowledge of California health care statutes and federal law affecting the health care industry preferred. o Works well independently and as part of a team with a manager and individuals located in remote offices. o A J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and admission to practice in California are required.
