Job Description
Baxter BioScience is seeking a Director to lead the development and implementation of economic and humanistic value strategy to support our BioSurgery and Vaccines franchises. The Director serves as a leader and champion for specific brands and ensures that economic and humanistic product strategy is aligned with marketing and reimbursement brand strategy.
The position is responsible for:
•Directing the PE and HRQoL components in (1) evaluation of new business developments, (2) clinical development plans and documents (protocols, final reports, expert reports), (3) post-marketing programs (clinical trials, retrospective database analysis, computer modeling), and (4) pricing/reimbursement strategy.
•Serving as a key driver in ensuring the effective communication of Baxter's product-specific economic and humanistic messages to customers.
•Leading and managing multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure that outcomes research initiatives demonstrate both clinical validity and commercial value.
•Ensuring that economic dossiers and other supportive materials are directly aligned with product pricing and reimbursement strategy
•Managing product study budget
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should have
•a Doctorate or Masters degree in health economics, epidemiology, or public health,
•a Doctoral degree in a clinical discipline (medicine, pharmacy),
•at least 7-10 years of pharmaceutical-related experience in outcomes research, and
•experience in conducting outcomes research within a clinical trial setting In addition, the individual must demonstrate:
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to understand and work with clinicians and marketers
•Working knowledge of reimbursement processes for devices and drugs in major international markets
•Exceptional project management skills
•Strategic mind with proven leadership skills
